Yvonne Tooks

Activities Assistant

Yvonne was born and raised in the Southside of Pittsburgh, where she graduated from Southside High School. She then attended the Western School of Health and Business, where she obtained a certificate as a Certified Childcare Specialist. Ashlee Phillips

Public Relations Specialist/ Lead File Monitor

Ashlee was born and raised in Plum Borough. She attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with an emphasis on drug and alcohol use. Ashlee has also interned and worked with individuals at Southwestern Pennsylvania Human Services. Bill Backa

Marketing Specialist/ Christian Outreach

Bill is a native of Swisshelm Park. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and continued his graduate work in Marketing and Management at Robert Morris University. Before joining CHHC, Bill worked in the field of senior care marketing for over 10 years with the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and two local hospices. Bill has developed a successful Speaker Series that includes such topics as Aging in Place, Healthy Living & the Patients Bill of Rights, and the Spirituality of Aging with Father Scott, OFM, Cap. Tammy Walker

Daytime Staffing Coordinator

Born in Erie Pa., Tammy is a graduate of Academy High School, as well as a graduate of Sanford and Brown Institute. Tammy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Specialized Science, and is also a State Certified Phlebotomist’s. Tammy has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare system as a Certified Phlebotomist and as an X-ray Technician. Sherrelle Arrington

Participant Communication Liaison

After graduating from Penn Hills Senior High School, Sherrelle obtained an Associate’s Degree in Social Work- Addiction and Child Welfare Specialist. Sherrelle will be attending the University of Pittsburgh in 2016 studying Communication Science and Disorders- Speech Pathology and Audiology. Sherrelle assists the intake Dept with contacting perspective consumers to update them regarding their application process and status. Sharel Witt

Communication Analyst

Sharel Witt was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She is a graduate of Peabody High School, which is where she met CHHC’s owner India Christian. After graduating from the honors program at Peabody, Sharel continued her education and furthered her interest in writing by completing her Bachelors of Arts in Communication degree at Robert Morris University in 2010. After college, she then strengthened her communication skills by working in the customer contact center of two Pittsburgh banks, while also being a caretaker for her mother through CHHC. With the experience of being a worker at CHHC, Sharel became the company’s Communication Analyst. She now works within the payroll department, doing internal file audits to make sure files are maintained within state compliance regulations. Renee Johnson

TSADF Monitor/Team lead for the Payroll Department

Renee was born and raised in the Penn Hills area where she graduated in 2006. Renee holds an Associate’s Degree in Specialized Science. Renee is responsible for ensuring that we are accurately billing according to the weekly time sheets that the Payroll Department receives. Merrin Carter

Registered Nurse

Merrin was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of the Abundant Life International Academy High School. Merrin attended The Western Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where she graduated and passed her state licensing exam in 2013. Merrin was hired as the Educational Nurse, responsible for conducting weekly and annual in-services. Merrin is also responsible for quarterly quality assurance assessments in consumers homes and new consumer intakes. Courtney Marsh

Payroll Timesheet Monitor

Courtney was born in Penn Hills and later moved to Plum Borough, where she graduated high school. She studied for two years at CCAC Boyce campus for Business. She has 7 years of Retail Management experience with several different companies. Any questions or concerns about general payroll and timesheet should be directed to her at 412-323-0203, ext. 6122.

Ebony Connor

Payroll Department File Monitor

Ebony was born in Pittsburgh’s East End area, where she graduated high school. She then studied at Job Corps and Carlow College for 2 years. Ebony is currently enrolled in CCAC. Ebony monitors missing time sheets for payroll and occasionally helps with our consumers. Kate Freehling

Registered Nurse

Kate was born and raised in the North Hills. She graduated from Carlow University with a BSN. Kate’s nursing experience includes stints in a medical/surgical unit, burn center, skilled nursing unit, and a long term care facility. Currently, she sees clients for their quarterly quality assessment visits and completes client intakes. Sylvia Madden

Registered Nurse

Sylvia is a Pittsburgh native, having grown up North of the city. She received her BSN from Duquesne University, where she also did some graduate work. Syliva has worked in a variety of nursing positions, including intensive care, open heart intensive care, emergency room, and trauma. Sylvia continued her career at CHHC as a nurse educator. Now, she shares responsibilities with the other registered nurses, including consumer visits, employee training, and office duties. Sylvia can be reached at 412-323-0203, ext. 6116.

Anitra Hughes

Activities Director

Anitra was born and raised in Pittsburgh. She has worked in a variety of capacities at CHHC. Anita also holds the position of First Lady of the Engrafted Word Church. Anita believes that her positions in both CHHC and Ministry are tied together, as they both require her to serve and minister to people’s needs. At CHHC, Anitra is responsible for planning monthly activities for the consumers. In addition, she plans activities for different buildings with consumers and potential consumers. Sandra Manning

HR and Quality Assurance Specialist

Sandra was born and raised in Pittsburgh, she attended Robert Morris College, studying Business Management. Sandra has over 20 years of experience in the customer service industry. At CHHC, Sandra is responsible for interviewing and maintaining contact with potential workers. Sandra also generates company mailings and conducts the quarterly surveys to assist in maintaining the highest level of satisfaction.
